Terms of Service

1. Scope

These Terms apply to SimpleStreamOverlay.com and our purchasing, licensing, download and support services. Use of the software is also governed by the EULA, and relevant data practices are described in our Privacy Policy. Nothing here excludes mandatory statutory consumer rights.

2. Product and price

SimpleStreamOverlay is a Windows desktop streaming companion. The current standard product price shown on our website is £7.99 per month, £69.99 per year, or £149.99 for a lifetime licence. The price and currency displayed at checkout are authoritative for that transaction. Future prices may change without altering completed purchases.

Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the selected billing interval until cancelled. The lifetime plan is a one-time payment. Each plan allows up to two active Windows devices. Contact support for subscription cancellation assistance.

3. Checkout and payment

Card checkout is processed by Square. Creating a checkout does not itself complete a purchase. A purchase is treated as complete only after trusted server-side confirmation and validation of the expected product, amount, currency and transaction details. You must use a payment method you are authorised to use and provide accurate required information.

4. Licence and fulfilment

After verified payment, our service creates the product entitlement and the purchase-complete flow can issue the associated licence and protected software download. The standard licence permits up to two active devices unless expressly stated otherwise. Licence credentials should be kept secure.

5. Lifetime licence

The lifetime plan provides a lifetime desktop licence for the purchased SimpleStreamOverlay product, subject to the EULA. “Lifetime” does not promise indefinite availability of third-party platforms, operating systems, browsers or integrations and does not automatically include separately sold future products or services.

6. Protected downloads

The paid SimpleStreamOverlay Windows desktop release uses a server-authorised download process and may require a valid purchase and entitlement. The Browser Bridge extension package may be distributed publicly through SimpleStreamOverlay.com. Obtain both components only through authorised SimpleStreamOverlay distribution channels.

7. Browser Bridge

The Browser Bridge connects supported Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox live-stream pages with the locally installed application. Its data practices are described in the Browser Bridge Privacy Policy.

8. Third-party services

SimpleStreamOverlay interoperates with third-party services and products including YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, OBS and payment/infrastructure providers. We do not control their availability, interfaces, policies or technical changes. References describe compatibility and do not imply sponsorship or endorsement.

9. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the website, checkout, licensing, download or support services. This includes fraud, unauthorised access, malicious interference, automated abuse, bypassing entitlement/security controls, malware distribution or unlawful use.

10. Availability, maintenance and updates

We aim to keep online services available, but maintenance, security work, network outages and third-party failures can interrupt them. We may update the website, delivery system, security controls and integrations for security, compatibility or functionality. This does not remove remedies required by consumer law.

11. Support

Support is available through our Support page and simplestreamoverlay@gmail.com. Do not send passwords, full card details, private keys or unnecessary secrets.

12. Refunds, reversals and chargebacks

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy and applicable law. A verified full refund, reversal or chargeback may result in revocation of the related entitlement and active device credentials where legally appropriate.

13. Intellectual property

The website, software, branding, documentation and original materials are protected by intellectual-property law. Purchasing provides a licence under the EULA and does not transfer ownership of our intellectual property.

14. Consumer rights

Applicable consumer law may provide rights concerning digital content, including requirements for quality, fitness for purpose and conformity with description. Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Liability

Nothing excludes liability where unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or liability that applicable consumer law does not permit us to exclude. Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses caused solely by matters outside our reasonable control, misuse, unauthorised modification, unsupported environments or third-party failures where the law does not make us responsible.

16. Suspension and termination

We may suspend online access or revoke an entitlement where reasonably necessary because of fraud, material breach, unauthorised redistribution, deliberate security circumvention or a valid refund/reversal/chargeback. We will not use this provision to avoid mandatory obligations.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms for changes in the product, services, law or business practices. We will not retrospectively remove accrued rights or impose material new obligations on existing consumers without any notice or consent required by law.

18. Governing law and severability

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory consumer protections where you live. If any provision is unlawful or unenforceable, the remainder continues so far as legally possible.
